The bridge spans approximately 32.5 meters in length and has a width of about 3.50 meters. The carbon concrete slabs used are only 8 cm thick.

Why you should use carbon concrete for a bridge?

Carbon concrete has prevailed in this project over the originally planned GFRP bridge decking – and for good reasons:

🟠Higher Robustness: Carbon concrete is extremely resistant to environmental influences and mechanical stress.

🟠Economic Efficiency: Unlike conventional reinforced concrete, it does not corrode, significantly reducing maintenance costs.

🟠Sustainability: Since carbon concrete is lighter than reinforced concrete, the material quantity can be reduced, lowering the CO₂ footprint.

🟠Longer lifespan: The guaranteed lifespan of carbon concrete components according to Z-1.6-308 is 100 years.
