In 2018, the laboratory building of the Center for Advancing Electronics at the Technical University of Dresden underwent significant renovation, modernization, and expansion. As part of this project, a 198 m² artistic concrete façade was created using solidian GRID carbon reinforcement. This material was essential for the 30 mm thin curtain wall, providing the necessary strength and durability.
Additionally, solidian GRID carbon was the perfect solution for the photo-concrete façade. In this innovative process, the surface is chemically broken up using a grid of points, effectively making defined aggregates visible and adding an artistic touch to the building's exterior.
