After 84 years, the ERNE AG Bauunternehmung is renovating the dilapidated Schwaderlocher Steg in Albbruck this year. The challenge was that the paving slab could only have a thickness of 9 cm, a feat impossible with ordinary reinforced concrete. The solution: solidian GRID carbon reinforcements.
Thanks to this innovative product, the approximately 200-meter-long carbon concrete bridge will soon be ready for its next passengers. Our solidian GRID carbon is an ultra-strong, lightweight, and non-corrosive carbon fiber reinforcement mesh designed for structural concrete. It offers several times the tensile strength of traditional steel reinforcement mats while being significantly lighter and resistant to corrosion.
These outstanding properties lead to substantial cost savings in construction, maintenance, and repair. By using our carbon fiber mesh for structural reinforcement, there’s a reduced material consumption of up to 50% less water, sand, and cement. This not only cuts transport costs but also lowers CO2 emissions, making it a truly sustainable solution. With solidian GRID, concrete goes from grey to green!
Additionally, the solidian GRID carbon bio variant offers an eco-friendly option, further enhancing the sustainability of your construction projects.
