A conference for the business community was held at kelteks as part of the "KELTEKS SOLAR POWER PLANT" project.

The goal of this event was to promote renewable energy sources funded by non-refundable grants from the EEA Financial Mechanism and to encourage the local business community to use solar energy.

The conference was attended by representatives of kelteks d.o.o., Greengreen Advisory, and the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar, who facilitated the initiation of the project for transitioning to renewable solar energy sources for the company kelteks.

In addition, representatives from the Ministry of Economy, our project partner, the Norwegian company Hans Claussen, and representatives of local companies in the Karlovac County were present at the conference.

"Electricity and Climate Change"

BY INVESTING IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SOLAR POWER PLANT, WE ADDRESS:

  • The problem of energy costs
  • Contribution to increasing the overall capacity for electricity production from renewable sources
  • Promotion of low-carbon technology usage
  • Enhancing energy supply security in the Republic of Croatia, as the main goal of the "Energy and Climate Change" Program

The construction of the solar power plant has been approved for co-financing with non-refundable grants under the conditions of the call "Increasing Capacity for Solar Energy Production" from the FINANCIAL MECHANISM OF THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA 2014 - 2021 and the "Energy and Climate Change" program funded by donor countries Iceland, the Principality of Liechtenstein, and the Kingdom of Norway.

PROJECT NAME: KELTEKS SOLAR POWER PLANT
PARTNER: HANS CLAUSSEN AS, Kingdom of Norway
TOTAL PROJECT VALUE: 876,318.70 EUR
NON-REFUNDABLE FUNDS: 345,764.62 EUR
PROJECT DURATION: 24.05.2022 - 30.04.2024

The kelteks Solar Power Plant addresses the problem of high energy costs and reduces electricity consumption from the distribution network by 28%. It has an output of 499 kW and produces 900,684 kWh of electricity annually. The plant configuration consists of 2,032 photovoltaic panels and 12 inverters.

Installing capacities for electricity production from renewable sources contributes to environmental protection by reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 300 tons per year, which is equivalent to reducing CO2 emissions of about 190 cars annually. The project partner for the construction of the KELTEKS SOLAR POWER PLANT is the company HANS CLAUSSEN AS from Norway.
